Mark Urbanczyk is a Principal with Deloitte Consulting. He currently leads the government AI & Data Engineering practice and serves as the lead consulting partner for the Department of Health & Human Services.
Over the past 20+ years, Mark has collaborated with various government clients to apply emerging analytics and AI technologies to achieve innovative data driven results. He also helped numerous organizations become more insight driven, establishing analytics centers of excellence and Chief Data Officer (CDO) offices.
Mark has a passion for innovation and for building the analytics capabilities for the organizations he supports. At Deloitte, Mark has played a key role in the launch of the firm’s AI offerings in the government market and several next generation AI incubators, including Deloitte’s Federal Health AI Accelerator. His commitment extends to nurturing the broader government data community as a board member of the Data Foundation.
Mark is a proud University of Maryland alum, receiving a B.S. in Decision and Information Sciences from the R.H. Smith School of Business. He has remained active with the Smith School, serving as a founding board member for Smith Analytics Consortium and serving on the Advisory Council for the Master of Business Analytics.
