Matt Himmelman

Matt is a partner in Deloitte & Touche LLP National Office Accounting Consultation group. He is the leader of Accounting for Income Taxes team, and a clearing partner for Revenue Recognition and Business Combinations. Matt previously served as a clearing partner in revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and accounting for income taxes from 2003 to 2005 and was a member of the SEC Services group from 1999 to 2000.

Prior to his current role, he served as Professional Practice Director for Accounting Consultation for Deloitte's National M&A Practice. In this role, Matt served as the primary technical accounting advisor to Deloitte's M&A accounting professionals, working with Private Equity and Strategic buyers/sellers on a variety of structuring, due diligence, and financial statement-related accounting topics. He also served as Deputy Professional Practice Director and an Audit Partner in the Orange County office, serving companies in technology and consumer business industries.
