Pete Shimer

Pete Shimer is Chief Operating Officer for Deloitte, bridging strategy and operations to ensure world-class operating results for Deloitte US. As the ultimate steward of the organization’s assets, he is responsible for evaluating major investments—including acquisitions, joint ventures, technology, and innovation—and driving strategic choices in the area of cost leadership across the organization. As COO, he has oversight of Finance & Administration, Information Technology, and Corporate Development. Pete is co-chair of Deloitte's Operating Committee and a member of the US Executive Committee.

Pete has spent his entire career at Deloitte, starting as an auditor and serving in a number of leadership roles over the years, including Deloitte US interim Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer for the US, a lead client service partner for several Fortune 1000 clients, and Managing Partner of Deloitte's Seattle office. He continues to serve select large, global clients as lead client service partner or advisory partner.

Pete is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the University of Washington Foundation and a Board member for the University of Washington Foster School of Business.

Pete received a BS in Accounting from the University of Washington.
