Steve Wander

Steve Wander is a Principal and the Chief Health Actuary at Deloitte Consulting LLP. Steve has over 30 years of experience as a health actuary and leader within Deloitte’s health actuarial practice. He has consulted with HMOs, large national health insurers, Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans, medical device companies, health care providers, government agencies, and employers on issues such as alternative payment models, health reform, risk-adjustment, Medicaid managed care rate development, Medicare bid development and product development.

Steve has extensive experience working with commercial health plans, state Medicaid agencies and Insurance Departments, serving as Lead Engagement Principal on engagements, including projects related to the public health emergency, Medicaid, Medicare and commercial health insurance products.
