About the authors

Rafael Calderon is a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP. He has 20 years of industry and consulting experience helping global companies drive operations performance through large-scale growth and efficiency initiatives. He has worked extensively with global multimatrixed organizations, helping them become more agile, growth-oriented, and able to embrace the advent of omnichannel while managing operational costs and asset efficiency.

Amit Sinha is a specialist leader at Deloitte Consulting LLP with 16 years of experience in leading supply chain transformation, enterprise architecture, technology adoption, and organization change management. He has led numerous business transformation projects for global organizations and has authored multiple books and research papers in the areas of supply chain management, integrated business planning, intelligent enterprises, and SCM talent. He is currently leading various initiatives and assignments related to digital supply networks and digital transformations for generating value for the firm, employees, stakeholders, and societies.

Dr. Ednilson Bernardes is a professor and coordinator of the Global Supply Chain Management program at West Virginia University. He is associate editor of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management.

Dr. Thorsten Wuest is an assistant professor at West Virginia University and J. Wayne and Kathy Richards Faculty Fellow in Engineering at the Benjamin M.
