Cathy Lesesne, PhD, MPH

Dr. Cathy Lesesne is a Human Capital Specialist Executive and serves as a Human Capital leader for Deloitte's Evaluation and Research for Action capability. She has more than 20 years of experience leading & designing public health evaluation and research initiatives. Trained in community psychology (PhD) and public health (MPH), Cathy has held leadership roles on numerous rigorous program evaluations & applied research projects, designed and implemented prevention initiatives, and supported a wide range of federal grant programs with training, performance monitoring, evaluation, and evaluation technical assistance.
In her previous roles as Vice President in public health at ICF and as a senior scientist for 11 years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Cathy has provided scientific and senior management across public health including: sexual and reproductive health, school health, chronic disease prevention, child welfare, mental health, childhood obesity, non-profit health services, and training/capacity building. She has more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and is a member of the American Evaluation Association. She holds a PhD in community psychology from Georgia State University and an MPH from University of South Carolina.
