Meet the speakers
Kathy Feucht
Kathy is Deloitte’s Global Real Estate sector leader and an audit partner based in the Milwaukee office with more than 20 years of experience. She serves as lead client service partner for both public and private clients in the Chicago and Milwaukee marketplaces, with a focus in the real estate and hospitality sectors. She works collaboratively with clients to provide attest services and assist with technical accounting matters, including working through transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and IPOs. Kathy currently serves as Advisory University partner on our University Relations team for the University of Wisconsin–Madison and serves on Deloitte US’ Board Council for the current fiscal year.
James Baker
Jamie Baker is a principal in Deloitte’s Strategy practice focused on financial services and real estate clients’ business model and operations challenges. Jamie serves a range of financial services, real estate, and banking clients and leads Deloitte Consulting’s Real Estate Industry practice. Baker has more than 20 years of industry and consulting experience working on a range of challenges, including helping clients evolve and configure their operating models, incorporate disruptive automation technologies, and execute a range of improvement or transformational initiatives.
Nathan Florio
Nathan has valuation, advisory and consulting experience in all major classes of commercial and residential real estate. He has performed single- and multi-property valuations, mortgage debt portfolio valuations, distressed debt and asset advisory, development and due diligence investment analyses, pre- and post-acquisition allocations of purchase price, sale/leaseback analyses, lease audit and lease advisory, and general consulting projects. He holds the MAI, CRE and MRICS designations.
Lauren Pesa
Lauren Pesa is a partner in Deloitte's Audit & Assurance practice, and since 2022 has served as Deloitte's US Real Estate Sector Sustainability, Climate & Equity leader, mobilizing responses to the complex needs of owners and occupiers across a spectrum of issues impacting strategy, reporting, and tax. She is also the Accounting & Reporting Advisory ESG leader, helping organizations think about ESG in the context of reporting and an evolving regulatory environment. In these roles, she has a passion for helping clients and teams solve challenges related to ESG reporting and strategy, bringing a multi-functional perspective considering data, process, internal controls, and technology enablement. Pesa spent two years in Deloitte's National Office Accounting Services group focused on leases, business combinations, and consolidation, and is a current member of Deloitte's National On-Call Accounting Advisory group. She also has significant experience with registration statements and complex transactions with a real estate focus.
