Tax podcast: Framework released for Build Back Better: What’s next?
It’s been quite a roller-coaster week from a tax policy perspective in Washington, DC. Host Carrie Falkenhayn is joined by Deloitte Tax Policy leader Jon Traub for a discussion on the latest developments in the effort by Congressional Democrats to come to a deal on the Build Back Better tax and spending package. Their discussion looks at the latest proposals, as well as what it will take to ultimately pass Build Back Better and the bipartisan infrastructure package.
The big next steps I’ll be watching for are the Senate parliamentarian’s scrubbing of the bill and the joint tax estimates coming out at some point in the future to show whether or not the bill is fully paid for.
—Jon Traub
